Christmas is one week away and we are all counting down to the family fun. But, Christmas brings new toys, clothing and just a lots of stuff. These are the five things to do before Christmas to get your house ready for the holiday vacation.
If you’re a parent this is a great time to clear out unused toys. Things that your child has outgrown or no longer plays with. Two perks you’re making a donation before the end of the year, to get your tax write off and your helping another family give to their children.
Clean Out Your Closet
If you’re a fashionista you probably asked for clothing. Make sure your closet is ready by clearing out clothing you haven’t worn in the last year. Donate what you can and organize what’s left. If you have a small space swap out your clothes by the season. You will open up lots of space in your closet.
Organize clothing, toys and your kitchen. Starting the Christmas season with a clean house is key to your enjoyment. After the chaos of Christmas morning finishes you can get those toys, clothes and books put away in to an already organized space.
Just another way to get ready for all the extra stuff. Take a day and really get your house clean. It is an added stressor right before the holiday, but come the New Year you will be so thankful that your house is sparkling clean.
Netflix and Chill
Finish it all up with a chill night. Make some popcorn, hot cocoa and watch all of your favorite holiday movies. You have worked really hard all year, so treat yourself with a little break.
You can get all of this done this week and check off the five things to do before Christmas. Then you will be setting yourself up for an easy and enjoyable holiday.
